At the final of the Badminton Asia Team Championships 2024 the Indian women’s team won, its maiden title, and a historic gold medal.

The team won this by defeating Thailand.

Among the players who outperformed their opponents in the game were Anmol Kharb, PV Sindhu Treesa Jolly, and Gayatri Gopichand.

Previously men’s Indian badminton team had won two medals in 2016 and 2020, but both were bronze.
