ISRO successfully tests CE20 cryogenic engine for future launching crews into space
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) reached a significant achievement in certifying the human safety standards of its CE20 cryogenic engine, which propels the cryogenic stage of the human-rated LVM3 launch vehicle for Gaganyaan missions. This milestone was marked by the successful completion of the last round of ground qualification assessments on February 13, 2024. The conclusive test, the seventh in a sequence of vacuum ignition trials, took place at the High Altitude Test Facility located at ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri, to replicate flight conditions accurately.
