Indian American musician and businesswoman Chandrika Tandon, won the Grammy award. She won  in the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album category for her album ‘Triveni’.

She was present  with her collaborators, South African flautist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumot. It was the 67th edition of the Grammys.

Another Indian Shankar Mahadevan from Shakti, Indian jazz , clinched the award for Best Global Music Album at the Grammys, recognizing the album “This Moment.”the album is crafted by a talented ensemble including John McLaughlin (guitar, guitar synth), Zakir Hussain (tabla), Shankar Mahadevan (vocalist), V Selvaganesh (percussionist), and Ganesh Rajagopalan (violinist).
