Vinesh Phogat: The first Indian woman to enter wrestling final at the Olympics
Vinesh Phogat Achieved a Historic First as she became the first Indian woman to enter the wrestling final at the Olympics. Vinesh Phogat defeated Yusneylis Guzman Lopez (Cuba) 5-0 to enter the Olympics 2024 women’s wrestling 50kg final at the Paris Olympics 2024.
In the Olympic games, wrestling is India’s second-most successful sport. India won seven medals so far.
The first Indian wrestler to win an Olympic medal was KD Jadhav(1952)
