India won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The two best teams of the tournament, India and South Africa, played the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024.
India scored 176 runs (176/7) in 20 overs and South Africa scored (169/8) in 20 overs. It was India’s second World Cup victory after they won it in 2007.
Virat Kohli and Skipper Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from the 20 format.
Virat Kohli pulled level with Babar Azam for most 50- plus scored in this format.

West Indian and England are the most successful teams two titles each. This year the final was played between India and South Africa on 29th June.
