Serbian Novak Djokovic beat Daniil Medvedev 6-3 7-6(5) 6-3 to claim the title in the US Open men’s singles final.

The win also marks his 24th Grand Slam singles title and equal Margaret Court’s record haul of 24 Grand.The 36-year-old Serb becomes the oldest US Open men’s winner in the Open Era and the first to win three Grand Slam events in a season for the fourth time.

He won Australian open 10 times,Wimbledon 7 times,US Open 4 times and French Open 3 times.

The French Open is played on clay, which owes its red colour to the crushed brick which forms the upper layer of the surface.
