India new World Cup Champion
The Indian women’s cricket team won their maiden World Cup(WC) title. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side defeated South Africa in the final summit clash. The Indian Team defeated South Africa by 52 runs at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. the hosts won the eight-team tournament in front of their home fans.
India women’s cricket team won the tournament for the first time in their history. The Indian side didn’t won in the 2005 and 2017 editions. 2025 changed everything, as

India 298 (Shafali 87, Deepti 58, Mandhana 45, Ghosh 34, Khaka 3-58) beat South Africa 246 (Wolvaardt 101, Dercksen 35, Deepti 5-39, Shafali 2-36) by 52 runs.
In the semi Finals Jemimah Rodrigues powered India to one of the greatest chases in women’s cricket to reach the ICC ODI World Cup final.She scored unbeaten 127 from 134 balls
